I don’t usually believe in fortune telling or sometimes they call it predictions using destiny cards. Well, that’s before I met our outsourcing client who is an expert in this field. I will reveal his name in due time but for now, what’s important is that I’m quite impressed by the accuracy of the information I got out of his system.

I have been involved in sales before when I tested the network marketing waters. It’s quite tough during that time as the companies that I got involved in provided very little to no sales training seminars to help their sales force including me. Probably the best course I ever have in sales was just reading books of Zig Ziglar and Tom Hopkins. But these were not enough to bring me to a level that I dreamed as a sales person.

This morning, my friend randomly surfed the internet for sales training seminars just to see how much it will cost him today if he wanted to improve my sales skills. One of the superstars that I look up to is the famous and highly successful basketball player Michael Jordan. I love not only his great athletic ability to create crowd electrifying shots and dunks but also his character as a person. On one of the self-development course that I took in 2008, I even use his character to portray on stage (we called it the “Star Theater”) what I wanted to be – not as a popular basketball player but to reach the level of success that he have attained or even just a fraction of it through his exemplary attributes. I shared this video on Twitter several days ago but I felt the need to re-post it here to inspire anyone in any walks of life seeking for the success that we all wanted in life. Hello! Welcome to the personal blog of Richard Fernandez and welcome to my world!

After a year of shying away from writing for a personal blog, I’m now back in harness. What prompt me to put up this blog? Well, I can name you some reasons:

1. My social network is growing and I need a home for my newfound friends to get to know me more. To date, I already have 101 Facebook friends and 11,607 Twitter followers. The number of my Facebook friends pales in comparison with my Twitter followers as I am not yet focusing much of my time there yet.

2. If you know me personally, you will notice that I don’t talk a lot. But that’s quite opposite online. I can talk, through writing, whatever is on my mind. I’m not a prolific writer though.
